The IoT Impact Lab at Unitec seeks to harness the power of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) to empower local communities in developing innovative solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A network partner to the Impact Accelerator at Otago University, this lab focuses on integrating these technologies to support climate adaptation, smart farming and agriculture, provide real-time environmental monitoring, preserve cultural heritage, engage youth in STEM fields, and foster sustainable business practices.

Empowerment through Technology: To empower local communities and businesses by equipping them with IoT and AI tools to effectively build sustainable practices.
